Dr. Daniel Apeemah Ayamga hails from Bolgatanga East Constituency in the Upper East Region of Ghana. Raised in a typical African extended family, he is the last born of fifteen children and the second among his siblings to receive formal education. After completing Primary School, he moved to live with his maternal aunt, whose unwavering support enabled him to advance through junior and senior high school.

He began his academic journey at Presentation Brothers' Junior High School, graduating in 2009 as the Best Student. He later attended Bolgatanga Senior High School, graduating in 2013 with distinction. His tertiary education was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Hon. Dr. Dominic Ayine, who fully funded his six-year undergraduate programme. Dr. Ayamga then pursued a master's degree on a GETFund scholarship, complemented by monthly stipends from Hon. Dr. Ayine.

Dr. Ayamga earned his professional qualification — Doctor of Medical Laboratory Science from the University for Development Studies (UDS), Ghana — a credential internationally recognised as Doctor of Clinical Laboratory Science in the United States. To deepen his expertise in global health, healthcare financing, and health systems, he obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Global Health from the KNUST School of Public Health.

He completed his mandatory national service at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital, gaining invaluable clinical and institutional experience, before joining the National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA). There he served as a Manager of Strategic Health Purchasing, overseeing NHIS benefits and tariff building. He currently works as a Claims Manager, contributing to effective claims management, provider accountability, and the long-term sustainability of Ghana's National Health Insurance Scheme.
